The normal alumni meeting will not be held at Laurelwood Academy in Gaston area this year.

Some classes will meet at the Laurelwood Church for worship and then go the the Laurelwood Academy lunchroom for their lunch and meetings.

Alumni Weekend is happening in a smaller way this October 2 at the LA campus in Gaston There will be some Laurelwood Alumni who will meet on that day and anyone is welcome to attend those activities. The 1980 class will be meeting in the Cafeteria from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm with a potluck lunch about 12:30 pm. The 1950 class will have a group there and we hope that some of the 1960, 1970, and 1990 graduates or LA attendees will join them. You are invited to attend the Laurelwood Village Church for Sabbath School at 9:30 and Church Service at 11:00. Or you can attend the Gaston SDA Church from 9:30 to noon and join the potluck in the cafeteria. Drive up the road between the Village church and the gym to the back of the girl’s dorm for the Potluck. The reason for postponing the alumni program until next year is that the Alumni Association needs some more staff members and volunteers to help make calls, gather information and plan a program. We would like to start planning earlier for next year.
